Not sure what there is to add beyond this. Without your word you’re nothing really. It just goes to show what a joke the election is. Even if you bother to take the time to read manifestos and make an educated vote it’s still meaningless. Can’t see myself being bothered to vote again really. It’s not much of an effort, but that five seconds could be better spent.
As for the MPs who abstained.. pretty pathetic. We elect people to make decisions. What use is an MP who can’t make his or her mind up about an important decision like this. If those 25 MPs who abstained had voted against, as their abstaining seems to signify was there true view then this vote wouldn’t have passed. They’re even worse than the promise breakers in my opinion. The abstainers even publicly recognise it’s the wrong decision but still don’t vote to reflect the promises they were voted in on!
